The Structural/Bridge Engineering Intern will collaborate with and be mentored by our Engineering associates on the team. You’ll have the opportunity to work on transportation projects that focus on bridge and other transportation structure design including plan production as well as quantities development under the supervision of a Professional Engineer. Some of the responsibilities will involve creating computer models, performing calculations of section properties and weight take-offs, preparation of calculations, etc. This is an amazing opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of structures such as bridges, retaining walls, temporary and permanent walls, culverts, sign structures, and signal mast arms.

Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or other related specialization from an accredited ABET-university
Must reside and/or attend an institution (physical or online) near Tampa, FL
Undergraduate or Graduate student with an anticipated graduation date of 2025 or 2026
A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Office Suite.
Familiarity with Microstation or AutoCAD and MathCAD.
Experience or coursework pertaining to the design of concrete or steel structures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as an intermediate level of technical writing and communication skills.
Previous experience with structural engineering software is preferred, but not required.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment that workshares across our entire footprint.
Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills.
