Landscape Assistant

The landscape assistant will be relied upon to work in all aspects of the maintenance portion of the company as well as assisting with landscape installation projects. The landscape assistant performs landscape installation and maintenance duties at various clients' homes. Landscape installation requires placing plants and building garden structures including pathways, fences, retaining walls, patios and raised beds. Maintenance duties include mowing, trimming and pruning of small plants and shrubs, clean up of leaves and debris, and delivering and spreading mulch.

Other job duties and responsibilities include:
1. Caring for landscaping equipment. Anticipate equipment and parts needed and procure parts necessary to complete repairs.
2. Troubleshoot problems that may be encountered while out on the job site, such as broken down equipment, needed supplies, or other issues that cause delays.
3. Interact professionally with customers.
4. Fill in and act as point of contact for day to day issues that arise when the crew leader is not available.
5. Communicate with the supervisor and clients (as needed) about the scope of each job.
6. Understand company policies, procedures, rules and regulations and ensure compliance.
7. Assist owner in estimating landscape projects when needed. This includes taking measurements, pricing materials as needed and calculating labor hours needed to complete the job.
