Job Summary:
Caterpillar Defense is seeking a detailed-oriented, customer-focused professional to evaluate, build, maintain, and train others on our marketing/sales technology and infrastructure system. This position will maintain a strong focus on Salesforce and data analytics; in particular, reporting on pipeline and sales activities. The ideal candidate also has project management / change management experience, strong communications skills, and the ability to design and lead systems-focused adult learning / training activities across a variety of platforms.
What You Will Do:

• Jointly serves as a systems subject matter expert for Salesforce.
  
  • Assisting in the development, testing, and delivery of services/products; Analyzing existing offerings, preparing technical documentation, and recommending upgrades.
  • Identifying user/client requirements for a product or service and defining technical specifications; Preparing technical documentation and sharing them with senior analysts and technical teams.
  • Supporting senior analysts by fulfilling their data requests, preparing reports, and providing technical assistance; Participating in initiatives to improve processes efficiency and employee productivity.
• "Owns" content and updates for Commercial Excellence SharePoint site.
• Employs adult learning best practices to design and deliver Salesforce and Commercial Excellence training across a variety of platforms.
• Serves in a key project management / change management role for key Cat Defense projects, particularly those related to systems and processes.
• The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others.
• Minimal travel may be required (Less than 5% of working time).

Business Data Analysis (Working Knowledge): Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze, and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements.

• Collects required business data through various data sources.
• Investigates data requirements in the business data analysis process.
• Writes analysis reports to assist decision making at the senior level.

Business Assessment (Working Knowledge): Knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices, and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications.

• Applies tools and techniques for gathering business requirements. Defines the activities, deliverables, and tools of a business assessment process.
• Documents best practices and techniques for assessing application opportunities.
• Participates in conducting and documenting business assessments.
• Participates in the preparation of risk assessment and benefits analysis.

Requirements Analysis (Working Knowledge): Knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

• Follows policies, practices, and standards for determining functional and informational requirements.
• Confirms deliverables associated with requirements analysis.
• Communicates with customers and users to elicit and gather client requirements.
• Participates in the preparation of detailed documentation and requirements.
• Utilizes specific organizational methods, tools, and techniques for requirements analysis.

What will put ahead:

• Leading project management / change management initiatives. Completion of project management training, such as Six Sigma, Agile, or Lean.
• Experience and capability of designing, delivering adult learning, and training.
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Forms, Power Automate, and PowerApps experience.
• Experience working within a sales organization.
• Experience preparing communications using a variety of vehicles and platforms.

Additional Information:
The location for this position is Irving, TX.
Domestic relocation assistance is not available for this position.
This position will require less than 5% travel.
