Job Description:
Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in one of the nation's leading healthcare institutions and contribute to the care of critically ill cardiac patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive acute care to patients in the CVSICU under the supervision of attending physicians.
- Perform detailed assessments, diagnose conditions, develop treatment plans, and manage patient care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes and ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Participate in bedside procedures, patient education, and clinical research initiatives as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
Qualifications:
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification required.
- Licensed in State of Maryland or ability to obtain
- CDS/DEA required
- Previous experience in critical care or cardiology preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
Additional Details:
- This is a rotating position with 50 days on and 50 days off, encompassing full-time hours over three shifts per week.
- Permanent night or weekend shifts may be considered, with a salary incentive.
