Registered Nurse (RN) – ProgressiveCare Unit (PCU)

What you will do in this role:


· Demonstrates the ability to performspecific competencies as listed on the competency validation checklist(s).

· Demonstrates age specific knowledgeof human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care ofpatients.

· Ensures the privacy of our patientand confidentiality of their Protected Health Information (PHI).

· Meets mutually agreed uponperformance goals/objectives as listed on the Performance Management Plan.

· Utilizes nursing process forindividual care to meet needs of patients.

· Demonstrates ability to performtechnical skills and procedures.

· Documents all patient care.

· Demonstrates critical thinkingskills.

· Promotes customer serviceinitiatives.

· Promotes and exhibits teamwork.

· Completes mandatory education.

·  Complies with hospitalpolicies/procedures and patient safety initiatives. 



What qualifications you will need:


• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing

• Current TX RN licensure

• Minimum of one year ICU experience or successful completion of ICU Internship program

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BLCLS) and Certification

• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
