Location: McAllen, TX
Pay Rate:  $ 10.50
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive Shipments: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage, matching items against purchase orders and packing lists.
  • Operate Forklift: Safely operate a forklift to load and unload materials from trucks, move inventory to designated areas, and prepare items for shipment.
  • Process Shipments: Prepare and package products for shipping according to company standards, ensuring all items are correctly labeled, documented, and ready for dispatch.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory, updating systems with received goods and outgoing shipments. Conduct regular inventory counts to verify stock levels.
  • Coordinate with Carriers: Schedule pickups with carriers and ensure timely delivery of shipments. Address any issues related to delayed or damaged shipments.
  • Maintain Shipping and Receiving Area: Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Document Management: Prepare and manage shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Customer Communication: Provide status updates to customers and internal teams regarding shipments and deliveries.
 
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a shipping and receiving role or similar logistics position, including forklift operation.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with shipping software, inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately process shipments, manage inventory records, and maintain high-quality standards with minimal errors.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with carriers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 20  pounds, operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment, and stand for extended periods.
