Job Title: Production Platform Engineer

Location: Charlotte, NC

About the Role: As a Production Platform Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and building production platforms. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Generative AI platform capabilities, deliver AI models to on-prem infrastructure and cloud platforms (such as GCP-Vertex AI and Azure ML), and participate in day-to-day standups for platform capability builds. Your expertise will contribute to the automation, resiliency, and fault tolerance of critical applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in developing Generative AI Platform Capabilities.
  • Responsible for AI model delivery to on-prem infrastructure and cloud platforms (GCP-Vertex AI, Azure ML).
  • Engage in day-to-day standups for platform capability builds.
  • Research industry best practices, evaluate new technologies, and recommend innovative solutions to improve platform resiliency.
  • Execute roadmaps aligned with technology and business strategy.
  • Perform hardware and capacity planning, analysis, and forecasts for applications, focusing on availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Act as an expert resource for other technical teams within the organization.
  • Support on-prem production infrastructure and cloud platforms, including end-user support.
Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Engineering experience or equivalent (work, consulting, training, military, education).
  • Strong Python skills (5+ years).
  • Big data experience (Big Query, Hadoop) with at least 5 years of relevant work.
  • Proficiency in Linux operating system capabilities (5+ years).
  • 3 years of experience in AIML (MLOps).
  • Cloud infrastructure support (GCP/Azure) and experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform/Ansible).
  • Pyspark expertise (3+ years).
  • VMWare Virtualization technologies (3+ years).
  • Familiarity with Auto ML technologies (H2O Driverless AI, DataRobot, VertexAI, Elastic, and Vector DB).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence management on technical or business solutions.
  • Knowledge of grid computing with CPU and GPU for AIML and NLP.
  • Understanding of high-performance storage technologies and object storage.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure to support high throughput and low latency grid computing.
