Why Jackson:
Holtz Children's Hospital at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Medical Center is one of the largest pediatric hospitals in the southeast United States, where UHealth - University of Miami Health System physicians treat children from throughout Florida and the Caribbean. Holtz Children's is known worldwide for its care of critically ill newborns in its neonatal intensive care unit, which is one of the largest in the United States and boasts some of the best medical outcomes. In collaboration with the Miami Transplant Institute, Holtz Children's is one of only three centers in the country that specializes in pediatric multi-organ transplants. It is home to one of only three state-accredited comprehensive children's kidney failure centers and one of the largest pediatric kidney transplant programs in the world. The Children's Heart Center at Holtz Children's is the only comprehensive children's heart program in South Florida. In partnership with the University of Miami, Holtz Children's also trains the most pediatric physicians of any medical center in the southeastern United States.

Summary

The Grant Program Administrator is accountable for the coordination, monitoring, and management of the RISE program (Reducing hypertension in post-partum women using interventions and supportive education) while promoting the most efficient delivery of services. The Grant Program Administrator acts as a resource to all levels of staff in planning, programming, and controlling the operations of assigned program. Serves as primary contact for assigned grant-funded program.

Responsibilities

  • Works with program investigators and oversees, manages administrative activities of the program. 
  • Ensures grant objectives and program compliance. 
  • Coordinates and conducts staff development activities. 
  • Oversees day to day research activities and patient journey throughout the program. 
  • Reviews and approves time cards. 
  • Prepares, reviews edits dissemination of program activities through presentations and manuscripts. 
  • Works on recruitment and retention strategies. 
  • Represents the program in all meetings with external and internal stakeholders. 
  • Monitors exactly where projects are on a daily basis in order to predict problems earlier and isolate issues that need to be addressed because of critical impact on the program. 
  • Maintains accountability logs of expenses throughout the program and works with respective teams to reconcile and provide input on daily operations. 
  • Fosters and oversees linkages established with community organizations and providers to support grant program services. 
  • Develops, reviews, edits, and disseminates internal and external program communications. 
  • Represents assigned grant programs in internal and external meetings. 
  • Coordinates technical assistance sessions with grant provider, to include but not limited to, review of specific program requirements to ensure provision of services as required by the grant, quality improvement activities, the application of process improvement methods to improve the coordination of access and services, maintenance and reporting of data and eliminate system barriers. 
  • Role models behaviors of service excellence and CARE values (Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Expertise). 
  • Performs other related job duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Generally requires 5 to 7 years of related experience. 
  • Management experience is required. 
  • Community Health experience preferred. 
  • Data management experienced preferred


Education

Bachelor's degree in related field is required.

Credentials

Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
