Long Island Nets Seasonal Internship 2024-2025

BSE Globalâs (Brooklyn Nets, New York Liberty, NetsGC, Long Island Nets, and Barclays Center) Seasonal Internship Program is an excellent learning environment for college seniors, grad students, and recent grads seeking hands-on experience within the sports and entertainment industry.

SUMMARY

We are looking for several Growth Properties Interns to join us for the Fall and Spring. The Seasonal Internship is a part-time, paid program that runs from October 2024 to May 2025. Fall and Spring Interns are expected to work approximately 20-30 hours per week in office.  Start and end dates can be flexible depending on your academic calendar.

This internship will be based in Long Island at Nassau Coliseum.

Partnerships:

  • Conduct research and prospect new business.
  • Compile executive briefs and slide decks for potential and existing partners.
  • Assist in coordinating game night staff responsibilities and other game night activations.

Community Relations: 

  • Support community-related activations in collaboration with sponsorship, marketing and ticket sales. 
  • Manage and track team and player community-related efforts for the Long Island Nets.
  • Cultivate relationships with community organizations and stakeholders that align with Long Island Nets community pillars.
  • Support community ticket allocations and distributions where appropriate.
  • Research best practices across teams and players as well as across the sport and social impact industry at large.

Marketing:

  • Provide video support to Marketing Coordinator to capture event highlights and produce recaps for use on Long Island Nets social media channels.
  • Assist with inventory management of giveaway/merchandise orders.
  • Assist in  the planning of 2024-25 season theme nights.

LIN Ticket Sales & Service:

  • The Ticket Sales & Services intern will provide support to the ticket sales operations team to assist in planning and executing season ticket member benefits.
  • Conduct research and prospect new business.
  • Perform grassroots marketing activities at various locations across Nassau and Suffolk county to drive fan development and sales lead generation.
  • Process orders in Archtics ticketing system.

Business Operations:

  • Assist with coordination of logistics for gameday operations with Nassau Coliseum
  • Helps to manage expense reporting & budgets
  • Provide support to other departments in collaborative projects
  • Support with day-to-day responsibilities in the office
  • Helps to manage Kids Zone on gamedays
  • Help be the liaison for the business staff & basketball operations

Public Relations:

  • Responsible for PR game day activation tasks
  • Lead credential creation and distribution on game days
  • Assist PR Coordinator with basketball communications tasks
  • Confidentiality and upmost professionalism handling sensitive tasks
  • Attend all game days and practices to assist PR coordinator with media availability

REQUIREMENTS 

  • This program is designed for college seniors, students engaged in graduate studies, or recent graduates.
  • All interns must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.

SALARY RANGE

$18/hr
