A lovely family of four is looking for a live-in nanny on the Upper West Side. The schedule will be Wednesday through Sunday about 50 hours per week. The children are 4-months-old and a 1.5-years-old. Flexibility will be required. The candidate will need to have infant experience as well as toddler experience. This role is a long term position and you must be able to travel with the family. The family is looking for someone who has a background in childhood education or is Norlander trained.
Responsibilities:
Full-charge care of infant and toddler
Ensuring well-being and safety of children at all time
Maintain all schedules including sleeping and eating
Meal plan/prep/food weaning
Child-related housekeeping duties such as laundry, organization, and sterilization of bottles
Pack/unpack and all travel related planning and prep
Engage in playtime activities
Track, log and assist with reaching developmental milestones
Provide a stimulating and nurturing environment
Qualifications:
Experience in a similar role with full-charge care beyond infancy
Understanding of infant/child development and ability to recognize and respond to infants needs
Team-player and collaborative mindset with the ability to also take charge
Requirements:
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Current CPR certification
Current vaccinations – MMR, Tdap
Excellent communication skills and command of the English language
Ability to speak another language is a plus
