DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Property management accounting (apartment ideal)
- Responsible for the financial statements and financial operations.
- Monitor company financials against budgeted expectations and provide insights into any variances.
- Develop annual budgets and forecast
- Oversee and review and annual calculations for CAM charges.
- Prepares for the disbursement or transfer of funds to vendors, owners, and home buyers.
- Prepares any complex journal entries, account reconciliations, fixed asset tracking and cross entity charges.
- Leads and develops team of 4-5 accountants
- Collaborate with internal and external team members to examine and analyze existing policies and procedures
- Manage financial reporting process
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in accounting required; CPA certification preferred
- Seven to ten years related experience
- Familiarity with GAAP and technical accounting standards
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
- Acute attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
- Proficient on AppFolio software
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
