Emergency Behavioral Health Clinician

Accountabilities/Duties:
- Works independently, providing psychosocial and mental health assessments, treatment planning and referral to patients and families at Hudson Hospital and the other hospitals, using a full range of mental health treatment modalities.
- Assists emergency room team, in person or via telehealth, in a consultant role to provide expert clinical care to patients and families presenting to the ED in mental health or substance abuse crisis.
- Provides crisis intervention, risk assessment, mental health evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, counseling and psychotherapy as appropriate.
- Provides recommendation in writing to the ED for next level of care and coordinates bed placement or crisis plan/referrals as needed ensuring that appropriate decision makers are informed of and involved in treatment planning.
- Participates as an integral member of an interdisciplinary health care team and provides education to other health care professionals in the psychosocial aspects of patient care.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Eligibility to be Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Minnesota (LICSW) and Wisconsin (LCSW) OR Eligibilityto be Licensed Professional Counselor in both Minnesota and Wisconsin or licensed eligible.
- Master's in Social Work or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years of supervised clinical behavioral health experience
- Previous experience in Emergency Service BH Assessment & Referral setting
