Role Summary
Magna Autosystems of America is seeking an Automation Engineering Technician to join a their growing team in Plymouth, MI. Starting pay $32.76
Qualifications:- Strength and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
- Strong knowledge of industrial processes and machinery
- Ability to learn and comprehend computer language
- Self-motivated, ability to take initiative and follow through to job completion
- Ability to communicate technically with various departments
- Work flexible hours
- Proven track record of performance and attendance in current role
- Logic and HMI software programming
- Proficient in basic computer programs
- Ability to learn the fundamentals of process control and understand the importance of consistent application
- Aptitude for mechanical and electrical equipment
- Help with purchasing of spare parts for assembly equipment.
- Troubleshooting and programming of all automation equipment.
- Planning projects to help optimize all assembly equipment.
- Support Continuous Improvement by suggesting longer term processing solutions that will reduce costs by way of improved scrap rates and optimized efficiency.
- Ensure all processes are running to baseline and that any changes are properly evaluated and documented with the appropriate change form.
- Help to create and establish baselines for new and existing equipment.
- Interact with Quality Group, as necessary, to understand the acceptable level of part quality.
- Assist Engineering Group to modify baseline programs if necessary.
- Assist Engineering Group with trials and improvement opportunities.
- Complete understanding of all change over activity within assigned cells including tooling, welders, adhesives, etc.
- Exploring and implementing new ways to automate assembly operations.
- Complete secondary school
- Min. 5 year manufacturing experience
- Fanuc Robot programming
- Troubleshooting/Programming PLC and HMI’s
- Mechanical Experience (preferred)
- Electrical controls experience
- Min 2 year robotic automation experience
