As a Supervisory Pharmacist working in the Medication Safety Section, within the Pharmacy Department, your major duties will include but are not limited to:
Serving as the Chief of this section supervising Supervisory Pharmacists, Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians. planning and assigning work and evaluating work performance and training needs of subordinates.
Developing and leading implementation of drug information and policy strategies based on practice standards, literature review, medication safety and care of patients and the research mission of the Clinical Center.
Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulatory and legal requirements relating to medication safety, and assisting in the accreditation process by ensuring the organization's medication-use processes meet applicable medication management standards and national patient safety goals.
Designing, implementing and evaluating learning experiences for all staff levels to acquire, maintain, or increase their knowledge and competence.
Consulting with and advising specific clinical teams and the hospital and health systems generally on medication safety opportunities and strategies to improve patient care.
