This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Selectee will serve as full-time Staff Radiologist for Diagnostic Imaging Service and Lead Interpreting Physician for mammography.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
Interpret the full spectrum of breast imaging studies including screening and diagnostic 2D/3D mammography, breast ultrasound and breast MRI, and perform interventional breast biopsy procedures including ultrasound and stereotactic needle biopsies and wire localizations.
The Breast Imaging Section uses Hologic mammographic equipment including state of the art 3D tomosynthesis and stereotactic breast biopsy system, and ultrasound equipment.
Knowledge and understanding of safety, imaging procedures, and relevant accreditation standards including those of the Joint Commission, the ACR, and the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and ability to facilitate re-accreditation/re-certification.
Consultant for interdisciplinary breast tumor board
Additional duties also include consultations with referring clinical services and supervising the administration of medications, including contrast agents, by technologists and/or nurses.


Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.


(Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).
