Pay:
Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases


Paid Time Off:
50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

This position falls under Surgery Service, at the Boise VA Medical Center, in Boise, ID. This position is open to a Board Certified/Board Eligible Urologist with surgical residency training. The Urologist will have excellent clinical skills and experience in the full range of Urologic care.




Duties include but are not limited to the following:

Provide direct patient care in the operating room and outpatient clinic settings.
Maintain professional competency, courtesy and flexibility or provide the necessary services of this specialty.
Pre-operative patient exam and assessment and performs all aspects of Adult Urological Surgery including treatment of lesions, biopsies, urological laser procedures, enucleation, stent insertion, and prostate surgery.
Provides urology-related direct patient care in all functional areas of the OR, Medical Floor and Out­patient clinic setting as needed.
Provides critical care related to direct care.
May also be involved in program planning, objectives, policies and standards essential to delivery of quality Urological care.
Participate in and or manage all aspects of a general urology program.
Manage patient workload within available staffing, which may include support of mid-levels.
Document progress notes and consultation findings in an electronic medical record, dictation and electronics signature of OP reports and hospital discharge summaries.
Provide surgical treatment for genitourinary injuries and diseases including major and minor procedures.
