Department Overview
The Social Work department provides emotional support and counseling to children and their families. They provide crisis intervention services, help with adjustment issues, grief and loss counseling, mental health assessments, case coordination, community advocate support, and short-term therapeutic interventions.
Position Summary
We are hiring a .6 Clinical Social Worker on our Minneapolis Campus, in Neonatal Care. This role provides services within our Level 4 Intensive Care Unit, Intermediate Care Unit, and our Special Care Nursery. The social worker will join a highly skilled medical team, and team of social work clinicians, to provide clinical care to families throughout their hospital stay. We provide mental health assessment, as well as psychosocial support and resources. At times this may include end of life care. We are rooted in health equity, offering a trauma informed care lens.
Minnesota state LICSW required. Master's degree in Social Work. Knowledge of Community Resources. Experience providing crisis intervention. Two years experience with counseling in a health care related setting or two years experience in a pediatric related setting or completion of graduate internship in either of the above settings.

The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Children's Minnesota.
