We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Product Owner to join our dynamic team in a classified environment. As the Product Owner, you will play a crucial role in leading and representing the interests of stakeholders within our SAFe Agile Software Development framework. This position requires a deep understanding of classified project requirements, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Product Ownership:
Act as the voice of the customer and key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and priorities are accurately represented in the development process.
Create and maintain a well-defined product backlog, detailing features, epics, and user stories in accordance with classified project specifications.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into actionable tasks for the development team.
- Agile Leadership:
Serve as a key member of the SAFe Agile team, actively participating in Agile ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Review, and Retrospective.
Prioritize and manage the product backlog, balancing business priorities and technical considerations to maximize value delivery.
Foster a collaborative and transparent environment, ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Risk Management:
Navigate the challenges of working in a classified environment, understanding and mitigating risks associated with security and confidentiality.
Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure that the development process aligns with classified project guidelines and standards.
- Release Planning:
Participate in release planning and coordination activities, working closely with other Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and the Release Train Engineer to align on release objectives and timelines.
Provide input to the program backlog, ensuring dependencies and cross-team considerations are well-managed.

Here’s what you’ll need :
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Proven experience as a Product Owner in SAFe Agile environments, preferably within classified projects.
Skills:
Strong understanding of classified project requirements, security protocols, and compliance standards.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
In-depth knowledge of Agile principles and methodologies, particularly in the context of SAFe.
Certifications:
SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification preferred.
Relevant certifications in security and classified environments would be a strong asset.
Other Requirements:
Eligibility for security clearance and willingness to undergo the necessary background checks.
Adherence to strict confidentiality and security protocols.
Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Full Scope
Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Minimum Years of Experience: 10
