  • The Mohs Tech/Histology Technician is responsible for accessioning, embedding, and staining slides for microscopic examination.
  • The Mohs Tech/Histology Technician is responsible for prioritizing testing procedures and completing those procedures in an accurate and timely manner and maintaining proper and accurate records of all tests done in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Adhere to laboratory’s quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument, and procedural calibration and maintenance performed.
  • HT/HTL ASCP certification or completion of a Histology Technician training course is preferred
  • Previous experience as a Mohs Technician is preferred.
  • Ability to understand physician’s instructions/handwriting and know when to seek additional information or clarification.
  • Must remain compliant with HIPAA, OSHA, and CLIA requirements.
  • Ability to efficiently operate all job related office equipment (telephone, computer, calculator, fax, copier).
