Growing Steel bending & fabricating company looking for a Loader/Yard Worker.

The successful candidate must be able to work safely in a heavy manufacturing environment. The ability to work independently and in a team, is a must. Attention to detail, as well as good written and oral communication skills are required. Qualified candidates will have 2-5 years’ experience as a Forklift Operator / Material Handler.

Job Responsibilities:
* Assist with the organization of yard & storage areas
* Safe loading & unloading of flatbeds & LTL trucks
* Accurately complete shipping and receiving documentation
* Operation of Forklifts, Extended Reach Lift Trucks, Banding machines, Chop Saws & various shop tools.
* Use remotely controlled overhead cranes.
* Tag and mark raw material.
* Additional responsibilities - as directed by supervisor.

Job Requirements

* Ability to read and follow procedures
* Ability to think ahead and plan work in fast-paced setting
* Ability to work independently
* Good math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, accurate number identification

Physical Requirements
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally & 35 lbs. repeatedly
* Must be able to stand/walk 2-4 hours at a time
* Ability to work in an outside environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, dust, and noise

* Union wage scale $22-37 to $29.70/hr
