The Maintenance Engineer operates, repairs, and maintains the physical plant as well as other hospital equipment/systems in a safe cost effective and industry accepted manner. Also, this position assures a safe and reliable environment in which to provide medical services.

Work Schedule: 1.0 FTE. M-F 6:30am-3:00pm and includes every other weekend rotation

Required Qualifications:

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Must have a valid driver's license in the state of employee residence and meet all criteria required under Lakeview's Automobile Liability Guidelines.
  • Good customer service, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude skills, and able to change or reprioritize in a fast-paced environment to meet our patients/building needs
  • Basic computer and email skills
  • Must have any ONE of the following at HIRE:
    • Chief A
    • Chief B
    • 1st Class A
    • 1st Class B
    • Or, require a combination of BOTH as follows at HIRE:
      • Chief C + 2nd Class A
      • Chief C + 2nd Class B
      • 1st Class C + 2nd Class A
      • 1st Class C + 2nd Class B
    • Or, require the combination of the following with CONTINGENCY within 18 months of hire date:
      • Chief C + completion of 2nd Class B license
      • 1st Class C + completion of 2nd Class B license
      • Special Engineers license + 2nd Class B license
    • Or, require the combination of the following with CONTINGENCY within 3 years of hire date:
      • 2nd Class A + completion of 1st Class B
      • 1st Class C + completion of 2nd Class A
      • 2nd Class B + completion of 1st Class B
      • 2nd Class C + 2nd Class A + completion of 1st Class C

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical school training in plant operations/building maintenance and/or HVAC
  • 1-year experience in the operation of H.V.A.C., refrigeration, electrical
