Support the Military's Quality of Life programs The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees. The primary function of the incumbent of this position is to perform cashiering tasks. Incumbent greets guests, escorts them to table and alerting server that table has been seated.
Duties
Coordinate activities involved in setting up for parties/catered events.
Responsibilities include making table reservations for patrons as appropriate. Incumbent responsibilities include preparation of menu boards, secure supplies, etc. for operation of facility. Ensures adequate change fund is on hand; takes food and drink orders from patrons. Assist in maintaining good order and discipline.
Answer patron's questions in pleasant, courteous manner. Ensure proper preparation, display and price marking of items and adherence to correct receipt and pricing procedures.
Maintain sales records and inventory on daily basis. Follow procedures for safeguarding cash. Ensure compliance with fire, safety, sanitation and security regulations. Incumbent will perform some housekeeping duties, including washing dishes, sweeping floors, wiping down tables and taking out trash.
Rings sales and/or ticket sales by individual items, totals the sales, receives money, and makes change. Incumbent is responsible for turning in receipts at the end of each shift. Monitors operation of assigned area of responsibility, periodically checking to identify and resolve problems which may arise. Enforce rules, handle phone inquiries, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Perform other duties as assigned.
