Our client is an industry leader Infrastructure, Network and Storage solutions. They are looking for a Mainframe Systems Administrator, responsible for managing and maintaining the mainframe environment, including backup, archiving, and data deduplication systems. You will work closely with client engineering teams to ensure the integrity, availability, and security of their data storage infrastructure. This role will require expertise in DLm/Data Domain, mainframe operating systems (Unisys OS2200, IBM zOS/zTPF), and tape management systems (IBM TMS, STAR-1100).

Duration: 12 Months+

Locations: Kearneysville, WV or Memphis, TN Required Skills & Experience US Citizen with eligibility to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Active or Current Public Trust is strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mainframe systems administration, with a focus on enterprise data storage and management. Expertise in DLm/Data Domain systems and tape management technologies (IBM TMS, STAR-1100). Proficiency in mainframe operating systems, including Unisys OS2200, IBM zOS, and zTPF. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Preferred Experience: Certifications in relevant technologies, such as IBM Certified System Administrator - z/OS or EMC Data Domain Specialist. Experience working in a regulated industry, such as finance or government, with compliance requirements for data storage and security.
What You Will Be Doing
Manage and maintain DLm/Data Domain systems for backup, archiving, and data deduplication. Administer mainframe operating systems, including Unisys OS2200, IBM zOS, and zTPF. Configure and optimize tape management systems, such as IBM TMS (Control-T) and STAR-1100. Monitor storage infrastructure performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Implement and maintain data security measures to protect against unauthorized access or data loss. Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and provide customized solutions to meet their needs. Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and training purposes.
