Definition:
Marina Charter Mate is responsible for the marina ship store watercraft rentals, valet service, safely driving all watercraft, assisting hut personnel and cleaning and maintaining water sport equipment; plus any other duties assigned by the Marina Managers and Supervisors. Charter Mates greet and assist members/guests while maintaining a friendly disposition and facilitating a high Horseshoe Bay Resort standard to maximize watercraft rentals and retail sales while creating and enhancing the guests’ lake experience.
General Duties:
Greet/assist members and guests Manage open/close procedures daily Maintain cleanliness and organization of all rental fleet Assist members with gas, valet service and any special requests Maintain professional composure in high stress environment Assist hut personnel with wave runner duties including but not limited to wave runner launch and return and gas & oil checks Demonstrate boat and wave runner driving capabilitiesEmployment Standards:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum age requirement 18+ due to driving licensed Resort vehicle Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the requirements of driver insurability as established by the insurance carrier required. Must hold a current Boaters Safety Certification Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen test Must be CPR certified and first responder certified Ability to drive different watercraft types safely and responsibly Customer service experience required Ability to work in fast paced environment General computer knowledge Team oriented Basic math and accounting skills Excellent telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills required Service oriented- able to pamper, accommodate and anticipate guests needs Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality. Solution oriented Exceptional communication, organizational skills and detail oriented Flexible and accommodating attitude Computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, related inventory software Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment Comply and adhere to all Horseshoe Bay Resort and marina policies and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) Maintain a professional image with the proper uniform standard and maintaining personal hygienePhysical & Mental Requirements:
