Exercises significant responsibilities in dealing with officials of other units or organizations, or in advising management officials of higher rank.
Manages departmental finances, prepares the annual spending plan, and assists Clinical Service Chiefs in maintaining commitment registries, reconciling the budget and actively pursues alternative funding sources and strategies to optimize reimbursement for services.
Responsible for overall quality and performance improvement activities in outpatient clinics and inpatient medical units.
Responsible for the diagnosis, care and treatment of inpatients, ambulatory care patients, and emergency cases in the capacity of a staff physician within the scope of their privileges.
Exercises overall supervisory responsibility for the management and direction of the care services under their direction.
