- Work 26 weeks a year with an attractive block schedule of 7-on/7-off (promotes work/life balance in this busy specialty)
- Inpatient and ER coverage only. Average of 5-6 inpatient consults per day with associated procedures
- Capacity for elective cases - not required
- Mercy's NEW Center of Excellence for Digestive Diseases
- Hospitalist team (Employed, Internal Medicine) will admit patients and GI Hospitalist will consult (serve as primary for new consults and calls.)
- In-house during the day and on-call at night
- Support from a large, comprehensive team of physicians including surgical oncology, medical oncology, both general and interventional GI, IBD specialist, colon and rectal surgeon, general surgeons and more
- Mercy Hospital Oklahoma City is a top-rated hospital by Fortune/IBM Watson and continually receives patient safety excellence awards and consumer loyalty awards
This Position Offers:- Competitive shift-based model ($726,000 +). 26 weeks a year or 182 shifts a year
- $50,000 available flexible, significant recruitment incentives tailored to your needs including sign-on/commencement bonus, resident/fellow stipends, etc.
- 10% annual bonus available beginning in your second year
- Comprehensive, day one benefits including health, dental, vision and CME
- Retirement plans available with employer contribution and matching options
- Relocation package and professional liability coverage provided
- As a not-for-profit system, Mercy physicians qualify for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
