Dartmouth Health is pleased to announce a national search for the Chief Executive Officer of New London Hospital in New London, New Hampshire.
New London Hospital (NLH) is seeking a dynamic and inspirational leader with a passionate commitment to community engagement. The successful candidate will be committed to the delivery of high quality, patient-centered healthcare and will bring a comprehensive understanding of fiscal operations and innovative resource management. About New London Hospital:
Founded in 1918, New London Hospital is a nonprofit, 25-bed critical access hospital serving 15 communities in the Mt. Kearsarge/Lake Sunapee region of central New Hampshire. NLH provides primary care, emergency, and specialized clinical services in a patient- and family-centered environment. As a strategic partner and member of the Dartmouth Health system, NLH is able to bring health care experts into the community both in New London and at our Newport Health Center so residents receive academic-level care close to home.
New Hampshire's Lake Sunapee Region is considered the ideal New England destination for travelers and locals. With a mix of shops, services, restaurants and entertainment, the area offers a wide variety of activities during all four seasons. The communities come alive with festivals, farmers markets, concerts, and fairs, and nearby lakes and mountains serve as playgrounds for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages.

About the job:
Reporting jointly to the President and CEO of Dartmouth Health (or his/her designee) and to the NLH Board of Trustees, the CEO of New London Hospital is responsible for directing the organization in accordance with its mission, vision, and values and will serve as an ex-officio member of the Board.
In addition to day-to-day operations at NLH, the CEO is responsible for promoting an environment of collaboration and building a culture of exceptional service. The CEO establishes current and long-range objectives; provides leadership across diverse organizational operations and strategic initiatives including those focused on creating a culture of patient safety and ensuring high quality care and service; advances initiatives to improve population health; ensures regulatory and legal compliance for the organization and effective financial stewardship, people management, board governance, development, physician relations, system member relations and community relations; and provides direction to ensure successful implementation of major initiatives.
Minimum qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a master's degree or higher in health administration, public health, or a related field. They may possess a physician or other clinician credential and associated license to practice, but this is not required.
Candidates must possess a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in executive level health care leadership. Experience in a non-profit organization and critical access hospital environment is preferred. Experience in a complex system with both ambulatory and acute functions is valuable.
