Lead Building Engineer, Day Shift, Support Center

As a Lead Building Engineer, you will:
•Leads coordination and completion of building maintenance tasks. Also, leads coordination of outside contractor support as needed or assigned to facilitate the completion of repairs and projects too large to be done in-house. Obtains appropriate approval from leadership and properly documents transactions.
•Generates and receives all mechanical, plumbing, maintenance, and repair work orders from the CMMS; schedules work assignments and monitors progress and quality of work. Also provides engineering support for non-acute facilities.
•Performs assigned preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, buildings, and facilities. Completes work order records and required documentation of maintenance activity.
•Coordinate work and meet/manage assigned contractors as directed by the Supervisor and/or Operations Manager.
•Provide energy management system (EMS)/building automation system (BAS) oversight to ensure the building maintains maximum comfort and maximum energy set points and setbacks.
•Inspects, monitors, and supervises contractor work.
•Performs other duties as assigned, including snow removal
Qualifications include:
•High School Diploma or equivalency
•Five years experience working for a mechanical or general contractor, or experience in a commercial or hospital facilities environment.
•Successful Completing an approved and accredited Trade School or apprenticeship program Preferred Five (5) years of trade experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, seven (7) years preferred. 2+ years in a lead role.
•Journeyman or above in plumbing, HVACR, or electrical fields. Certification is required in 4 of the building systems for this level. Medical Gas ASSE 6040, 6010, Pneumatic tube System, ASHE Health Care Physical Environment Worker Certification, NFPA Certified Electrical Worker, Additional certifications on a case-by-case basis.
•Valid driver's license.

Tobacco and Drug Statement
