Core Hospitals

SLH is comprised of three hospitals and a number of outreach primary and specialty care practices throughout St. Lawrence County. Each practice is affiliated with one of our hospitals.

Canton-Potsdam Hospital (CPH) is a not-for-profit community healthcare facility certified for 94 beds. Its core programs include emergency medicine, acute care, hospitalist medicine, critical care, and a Level III Trauma Center that is fully equipped to provide rapid and thorough trauma care to adults involved in physically traumatic situations.Gouverneur Hospital (GH) is a not-for-profit critical access hospital certified for 25 beds. Services include emergency care, medical imaging and EKGs, laboratory, physical rehabilitation, and respiratory therapy. GH also houses our comprehensive substance abuse rehabilitation programs, including medicated assisted treatment, and behavioral therapies.Massena Hospital (MH) is a 25-bed acute care hospital providing inpatient, medical, surgical, and detoxification services in addition to emergency care. MH s main campus also provides medical imaging and laboratory services, nutritional counseling, respiratory care, cardiac rehabilitation, and inpatient physical and speech therapies. Outreach health centers offer the community cardiology, infusion, nephrology, neurology, OB-GYN and women s health, pediatrics, and primary care.

St. Lawrence Health is looking for full-time Emergency Medicine Physicians to join the team.

The ideal candidate will be BE within 5 years of completing residency or BC.

Potsdam ER:

12 shifts per month from 7a-7p and 7p-7a24 hours of physician coverage and 36 hours of APP coverageMost shifts are day, but candidates must be willing to cover a few nightsApproximately 80 visits per dayOversees 3 APPsTransfers from MH and GHER runs trauma

Massena ER:

1 physician per shift working with 1 APPShifts are 12 hours working 7a-7p or 7p-7aMost shifts are day, but candidate must be willing to cover nightsDay volume approx. 25 patients; night volume approx. 15 patients

Gouverneur ER:

12 shifts per month working 8a-8pAPPs cover the night shift with backup from telemedicine and hospitalists

Financial Package

Compensation: Competitive compensation based on MGMA benchmarking

Signing Bonus: $25,000

Relocation: $15,000

Licensing & Dues: $2,000

CME s: $4,000

Benefit Time: 240 hours

Holiday Time: 7 days
