The Allocation Analyst manages regional and store allocation of merchandise for specific product categories. This position partners with the Inventory Planner and Store Planner to allocate inventory that aligns with the company strategies or current business trends, and is accountable for in stock service level KPIs at the channel and location level.

This is a hybrid position that typically requires three days per week in our Northbrook, Illinois headquarters office.


A day in the life as an Allocation Analyst…

Partner with Manager, Allocation to achieve sales, margin, and turnover goals while maintaining in-stock service levels by channel and locationAnalyze product flow and sales trends by region to accurately forecast future product needsAnalyze regional Distribution Center inventory levels and effectively manage and balance inventory by region and channelCollaborate with the Inventory Planner and Manager, Allocation to identify and react to business needs to drive sales and profitabilityIdentify and escalate opportunities at the dept, class or sku level to the Inventory PlannerAnalyze and manage the distribution of seasonal and end of life core products to maximize sales and profitabilityTrack and release new product based on off-managed/floor-set calendarAssist in maintaining accurate ETAs of POsParticipate in ongoing training for self and others regarding technology upgrades and new systems or processesRepresent Merchandising as a stakeholder for company projects and initiatives that impact inventory managementEscalate findings in allocation that impact new season set up, communicating forecasting and coding issues that will impact store inventory levels

What you’ll bring to the table…

Aptitude for spreadsheet and planning toolsUnderstanding of the annual and seasonal buying plans, distribution needs and requirements, and goals of the Merchandising teamGood communication skills; work consistency and accuracyStrong attention to detailExperience building effective relationships and communicating cross functionallyAbility to learn new software to support the launch of new inventory allocation or Supply Chain management systems
