Job Overview

We have a newly created opportunity for a Senior Integration Engineer to join our corporate IT team. This role is working onsite and can be based at our headquarters in Milwaukee, WI or Chicago, IL (near O’Hare). 


The Senior Integration Engineer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise integrations within our complex business landscape. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in integration architecture, with expertise in both packaged and custom-developed applications. Additionally, the candidate should possess sound knowledge of Azure integration services, Mulesoft, UI Path and Sterling integrator, including APIM (Azure API Management), Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
 

Key Job Responsibilities

Integration Strategy and Architecture:

  • Develop and implement integration strategies and architectures that enable seamless communication and data exchange between disparate applications and systems.
  • Design scalable and robust integration solutions that meet business requirements and support future growth and expansion.

Integration Design and Development:

  • Analyze business requirements and technical constraints to design integration solutions that address complex business scenarios and challenges.
  • Develop and implement integration solutions using a combination of industry-standard integration patterns, APIs, RPA and middleware technologies.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement custom integrations and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.

Integration Governance and Standards:

  • Ensure adherence to established governance processes, standards, and guidelines to ensure consistency, reliability, and maintainability of integration solutions.
  • Maintain documentation, templates, and artifacts related to integration architecture, design, and implementation.

Technology Evaluation and Selection:

  • Evaluate and select integration technologies and tools that best fit project requirements and align with the organization's technology stack and roadmap.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and advancements in integration technologies and recommend adoption of new tools and platforms as needed.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to understand integration requirements and priorities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, developers, and testers to ensure successful delivery of integration projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Integration Engineer or similar role, with a strong track record of designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise integrations.
  • Expertise in integration technologies and platforms, including Sterling Integrator, Azure APIM, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Mulesoft and UI Path.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, including authoring Pipelines.
  • Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth, API keys, and token-based authentication
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns, protocols, and standards, such as REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, and EDI.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
