Full Time Dental Public Health Physician

A mission-driven, progressive physician group committed to providing quality health care to all residents in Southwest Georgia is seeking a staff dentist. Group provides access to services that include General Dentistry & Preventive Services (X-rays, Hygiene Appointments). Crowns & Root Canals. Dentures. Disease Management (Periodontal Disease and more), and Emergency Services. The dentist diagnoses, prevents, and treats problems with teeth or mouth tissue. Removes decay, fills cavities, examines x-rays, places protective plastic sealants on childrenâs teeth, and determines diagnosis and treatment for fractured teeth. Performs corrective surgery on gums and supporting bones to treat gum diseases. Extracts teeth and makes models and measurements for dentures to replace missing teeth. Provide education on diet, brushing, flossing, the use of fluorides, and other aspects of dental care. Supervises dental hygienist and dental assistant. Applies advances in modern biology to clinical practice and to integrate new medical knowledge and therapies relevant to oral health care. Applies the principles of behavioral science that pertain to patient-centered oral health care. Provides care to a diverse patient population. Communicates with patients, staff and colleagues concerning oral health care matters.
