Current Hourly rate is $198.00. abor Degree/Education (5.2.4): Possess a degree from an accredited college approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association or Doctor of Osteopathy from a college accredited by the American Osteopathic Association.  Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support (5.2.3): See exhibit 5 of the basic contract.  Experience: Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last 10 years working as an Anesthesiologist. Experience and ability to manage a full range of anesthesia to include cardiac, thoracic, vascular, burn, and neuro anesthesia, as well as pain management, if required. Have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing cardiac, pediatric, critical care and trauma patients. Level 1 trauma experience is preferred. Have a minimum of four (4) years of direct nvolvement in anesthesia residency education with experience as a resident mentor, core faculty member, or assistant/anesthesia program director.  Board Certification (5.2.6.4.4): Be board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiologists (ABA).  Licensure/Registration: Be currently licensed in one (1) of the 50 states, the District of Columbia o,the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands and be able to obtain clinical privileges to practice medicine with the applicable MTF Credentials Committee. HCW Duties (5.1 Task 1): The duties for the HCW are as follows: Contract physicians providing services under this contract shall perform the same clinical duties as those required of any military or government civil service physician of similar experience assigned to the same unit at the MTF. The quality of service shall meet or exceed reasonable standards of professional practice as determined by the same authority that governs physician services in the same discipline. Contract physicians shall perform within the scope of clinical privileges granted by the MTF and the overall demand for physician services. Productivity is expected to be comparable to that of other providers with the same scope of practice. Workload will be Scheduled by the treatment facility. Caseload includes scheduled and unscheduled requirements for care. Any cancellation of patient schedules requires approval of Chief of Anesthesia and Operative Services. Physicians shall have sufficient training/experience to be able to perform the required duties which include, but not limited to the following: Performing the full range of anesthesia to include, but not limited to, cardiac, thoracic, vascular, burn, and neuro anesthesia as well as pain management. .4.4.1. Schedule Management for Personal Services: The work schedule for each labor category is as follows: The contractor shall provide Anesthesia Services for 1,920 hours per year (160 hours per month) per FTE, Sunday through Saturday from 0001 to 2400 (i.e. 24 hours per day, seven days per week) to include week days, federal/training holidays, and weekends. Each shift includes a 30- minute meal break that is not paid by the Government. Sharing in-house call after hours on weekdays and weekends, and sharing beeper-call from home would also be expected (beeper call is 1600-0700 hours on weekdays, and from 1600 hours Friday till 0700 hours Monday). All hours stipulated above include sharing federal/training holidays. Contractors shall not leave a shift without a suitable replacement. Hours are subject to change at discretion of the Chief, Anesthesia Services and/or his designee. Schedule process may include rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights and weekends). The Government maintains the right to make changes to meet operational needs. The contractor shall provide Anesthesia Services for 1,920 hours per year (160 hours per month) per FTE, Sunday through Saturday from 0001 to 2400 (i.e. 24 hours per day, seven days per week) to include week days, federal/training holidays, and weekends. Each shift includes a 30- minute meal break that is not paid by the Government. On-Call Hours: On-call requirements for each labor category are as follows: On-call is required in-house for weekdays, weekends, federal and training holidays. Each physician is normally scheduled for in-house on-call duty 2-4 times per month, and at home call 2-4 times per month. On site on-call normally begins at 0700 hours and continues until 0700 the next day. At-home back-up call is required 2-4 times a month and begins at 0700 and ends at 0700 hours, and is in addition to the regular duty day. 5.4.4.4.1 Call-Back Hours: HCWs ☒ will ☐ will not be required to report in-person to the MTF during on call if needed . The number if call-back hours and timeframe is as follows: Call-back is 1600-0700 hours on weekdays, and from 1600 hours Friday until 0700 Monday. The provider shall respond by telephone within 10 minutes after receipt of telephone or pager notification. The in-house staff Anesthesiologist on-duty is responsible for determining whether the on-call Anesthesiologist needs to report for duty. Scheduling process will be created and managed by the Chief, Anesthesia Services and/or his designee. Hours are subject to change at discretion of the Chief, Anesthesia Services and/or his designee. Call-back is not billed separately however, if determination is made to return to the MTF, hours will be billed towards the Full Time Equivalent CLIN and shall only include actual hours worked in BAMC.
