Gastroenterologist Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Chicago, Illinois

A facility in Chicago, IL is looking for a locum tenens Gastroenterologist to assist with inpatient coverage starting June 25th. Candidates can be Board Certified or Board Eligible. An active IL license is required to apply.

The schedule entails working Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, with infrequent weeknight and weekend call duty (approximately 30 times per year). Anesthesiologist support is available, and responsibilities include rounding, handling consults, and providing coverage in the emergency department during weeknights and weekends. The role involves daily inpatient work, performing general GI procedures, with a preference for expertise in ERCP.
