Sr API Developer (On site)

Cognizant is looking to hire a motivated and energetic Senior API Developer who’s passionate about software modernization, and individual in charge to analyze and interpret system requirements to design robust APIs for electronic payment systems..

Job Location: Minneapolis, MN

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

· Analyze and interpret system requirements to design robust APIs for electronic payment systems.

· Develop and implement scalable secure and maintainable software solutions that meet business objectives.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic payment solutions.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software development and electronic payments.

· Conduct thorough testing to identify and resolve system deficiencies.

· Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.

· Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in API development and electronic payments.

· Optimize system performance to ensure fast and reliable access to payment services.

· Document all phases of the software development lifecycle.

· Address and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner.

· Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards.

· Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes..

Key Qualifications:

· Must have a strong foundation in API development techniques and best practices.

· Proven experience in the electronic payments domain is essential.

· Proficiency in programming languages relevant to API development.

· Experience with software development methodologies and tools.

· Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate complex ideas clearly.

· Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

· Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
