Role Summary
The Quality Engineering (QE) Delivery Lead position at National Life Group is a key leadership role responsible for end-to-end quality within multiple business domains. This is a unique opportunity to affect change and directly improve the lives of our customers and employees.
This role demands a high degree of independence, organizational skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to juggle multiple projects and competing schedules. Collaboration, an open mind, and ability to influence others will be instrumental to success.
The position reports to the Head of Quality Engineering and is a member of the CTO organization. You will be part of a team that continuously drives innovation while delivering end-to-end solutions in support of National Life’s business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Team Leadership:Lead QE delivery teams by exampleMotivate and inspire QE delivery teamsFoster a culture of excellence, collaboration, innovation and shared responsibility for qualityProject Delivery:Oversee the definition and execution of test plans and test casesCollaborate with engineering teams to identify and proactively resolve quality issuesMonitor capacity of highly outsourced, global teams and address constraintsRoll up your sleeves and help teams overcome challengesContinuous Improvement:Mature our test automation portfolio, requirement traceability practices, and promote transparency of testing activitiesMaintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and QE best practicesExperiment with emerging technologies such as Gen AI and leverage the most promising to mature our quality practices and deliver business valueStakeholder Collaboration:Foster and maintain trusting relationships with all partiesWork closely with cross-functional teams including business, engineering, and external vendors to ensure quality objectives are metCommunicate quality metrics, issues, and progress to senior management and stakeholdersMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences, related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience3-5 years of demonstrated progressive technical leadership experience leading a geographically dispersed, global workforceStrong QE knowledge and skills with demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex initiativesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExperience with automated testing tools and techniquesAbility to think creatively and drive innovationAbility to work collaboratively across business units and IT customersExcellent verbal and written communication skills, both technical and non-technicalPreferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with QE tools such as Zephyr Enterprise, Tosca, and/or NeoLoadBroad IT technical experienceLife & Annuity insurance industry experienceBenefits

#LI-HybridThe base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees.Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
