Position: Mental Health Therapist - Early Intervention Location: Dakota County
Job Id: 1688 # of Openings: 1 Hiring Bonus ACP is hiring a full-time (preferred) or part-time Community-Based Mental Health Therapist with a primary role as an Early Childhood Mental Health Therapist in clients' homes/communities in the Dakota County area. This role will include conducting early childhood mental health Diagnostic Assessment DC:0-5), tx planning, family therapy, and strong collaboration with other professionals working with these children ages birth through five and their families in Dakota County. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Diagnostic assessments utilizing DC:0-5 and outcome measures: ECSII, SDQ, ASQ3, ASQ: SE2, CBCL, PSI-SF, and TESI if indicated need.
  • Develop and implement a treatment plan with the family
  • based on the diagnosis
  • Provide family therapy upon completion of the DC:0-5.
  • Clinical Care Consultation: including collaboration with schools, psychiatrists, and other professionals working with the child.
Preference will be given to applicants that:
  • Received training and/or utilized the DC 0-5 diagnostic assessment and have used the DC: 0-5 manual.
  • Knowledgeable about effective early childhood mental health interventions as demonstrated by knowledge of the terminology, trends, and current developments in Infant Early Childhood mental health treatment or highly motivated to learn more on this
  • Demonstrated knowledge and openness to learning more on trauma-informed care, neurodiversity-affirming approach, cultural diversity, and the role of these in the therapeutic process
  • Experience working with young children (ages 0-5) and their caregivers or a strong desire to learn to work with this population
Requirements:
  • Master's or other graduate degrees in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university and be on track for LICSW or LPCC license OR be fully licensed as LICSW, LMFT, or LPCC.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Timely and accurate submission of documentation of services and other documents as required
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance and be willing to travel within the Twin Cities metro area.
