Position Overview:

The CAD Draftsperson is responsible for creating, maintaining and managing all necessary electronic files including but not limited to 3D models and assemblies, 2D drawings and images, 3D scans and all other related files as well as processing ECNs, assisting with and reviewing designs and layouts including doing data searches and measuring components. They must maintain all necessary logs and assist in the maintenance and upgrading of the document control system.

Key Accountabilities:
Work safely at all times by consistently following safe work procedures for the position. Promptly report all incidents and safety issues to the manager/supervisor. Process and manage all requests for the creation of and changes to drawings, 3D models and assemblies and other electronic files. Communicate lead times, back logs and issues as they relate to projects, products and their deadlines. Metrology system support as needed. Assist in the maintenance of the documentation system. This is to include the processing of ECNs, documentation reviews and the release of drawings. Implement and enhance IT infrastructure relating to documentation control. This is to include IT rollouts of upgrades relating to documentation creation and product imaging. Assist with and consult on the creation of libraries and library cards as well as the creation and modification of document templates. Assist in Global Imaging database creation, protocol and maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
Associates degree or equivalent 2 plus years experience 3D modeling parts and assemblies 2 plus years drafting experience with Solidworks Experience with a document management system (e.g. Adept) Knowledge of GD&T and basic measuring skills The ability to read BOMs and routes and then relate them to drawings Strong communications skills, fluent in English, both written and spoken Ability to work within a team environment Strong knowledge in Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, Access)

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline

Knowledge of JDE or business system equivalent

Experience with Rhino and AutoCAD
