About the job
The right person will be a high performing full-stack engineer with experience on complex applications. They will contribute to Pearson's technical transformation by developing global capability onto the PMC core technical platform. We are looking for someone with passion for technology and a drive to help us move towards our architectural vision.

As a Full Stack Engineer, you will:
Key Responsibilities
Implement, document and unit test complex modules using Java, Spring & React
Ensure code is of high quality and adheres to non-functional requirements
Follow and contribute to the project's technical best practices and development standards
Perform code reviews and ensure code developed is flexible and reusable.
Coach and mentor junior members of the team & help drive the team’s sprint commitments.
Support the management of architectural and technical risk
Work with project management and business analysts to manage the flexible scope with business owners
Strong focus on high quality throughout the entire process, working closely with the Quality Assurance stream
Collaborate with Technical Lead, Solutions Architects and Enterprise Architects for aspects related to integration with other system
Advocate the new architectural vision and help move further customizations to use that pattern
Skills & Abilities:
Strong Java, Spring & REST API development
Full-stack development, using client-side technologies (AngularJS, React or Vue JS)
Exposure/willing to learn complex eCommerce implementations
Excellent understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, relational databases, complex integration landscapes & non-functional requirements
Experience with troubleshooting, logging and monitoring tools
Excellent communication skills
Experience of AWS and microservice architecture (desirable) is a plus
