You will make an impact by: 

Delivering clinical instruction according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods; develops daily lesson plans; advises and tutors students; maintains current and accurate attendance and grade records; remains current in applicable program teaching field; participates in faculty meetings, instructional seminars, and in-service training sessions.Serving as an educator, role model, mentor, and facilitator.Focusing extensively on facilitating student learning associated with prescribed course and program learning outcomes.Actively and substantively participating in assessment of student learning activities to maximize the potential for students to learn what is necessary to meet prescribed outcomes.

Your Experience Includes:

3 years of occupational experience in the subject field or in a closely related field.Direct patient care experience within the previous five (5) years in the nursing area to which he or she is assigned, which can be met by:

(A) One (1) year’s continuous, full-time or its equivalent experience providing direct patient care as a registered nurse in the designated nursing area;
                                                                                                OR

(B) One (1) academic year of registered nurse level clinical teaching experience in the designated nursing area or its equivalent that demonstrates clinical competency.

Completion of at least one (1) years’ experience teaching courses related to registered nursing or completion of a post-baccalaureate course which includes practice in teaching registered nursing.Must demonstrate training in educational methods, testing and evaluation and evidence strength in instructional methodology, delivery and techniques as indicated by evaluation by supervisory personnel within 30 days of beginning instruction.Working with online learning management systems to further engage the student learning process desirable.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and other MS office products as needed.

Education:

Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college which shall include courses in nursing, or in natural, behavioral, or social sciences relevant to nursing practice (BRN regulation).Completion of at least one (1) years’ experience teaching courses related to RN or completion of a post-baccalaureate course which includes practice in teaching registered nursing (BRN regulation).

Licenses/Certifications:

Current unencumbered Registered Nurse License in California required.
