If you are a skilled Boiler Technician professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you Based in our Stafford, TX location, you will work in the Stafford Maintenance department and will operate and maintain multiple boilers and associated equipment. In this critical role, you will be providing quality service to our internal customers and must have a robust and proven understanding and ability to operate stationary gas-fired boilers and auxiliary equipment.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Operate, maintain, and inspect automatic gas fired high pressure steam boilers.

  • Adjust, maintain, and test boiler and mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic control instruments and safety devices.

  • Test boiler water, cooling tanks and water from other systems and take any vital corrective action, such as adding chemicals to prevent corrosion and harmful deposits.

  • Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, including test results, instrument readings, and details of equipment malfunctions and maintenance work.

  • Supervise and inspect equipment, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, safety devices, and meters to detect leaks or malfunctions, and ensure that equipment is operating efficiently and safely.

  • Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Monitor and document maintenance issues in the Lox room and Acid Room.

  • Monitor and document maintenance issues in the Non-destruction testing Lab.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1 or more years of experience as a Boiler operator or stationary engineer

  • Attend and pass all required training and classes

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Valid US driver's license

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
