What to Expect

We are looking for a Video Content Producer to join our growing Content team in Palo Alto, CA. This person will be responsible for both creative and logistical aspects of video projects covering the full range of Tesla products and innovations involving Tesla Bot. They will oversee video projects from inception to launch, ensuring videos are completed on time and within budget while maintaining Tesla's video standards and advancing the unique Tesla brand and our connection with our audience.  

The Content team produces videos across our social, web, event and global channels. Each member is passionately driven and has the necessary attitude to work effectively as part of a highly collaborative team and independently when needed, in a fast-paced work environment. 

What You’ll Do
  • Develop video concepts that effectively serve business needs and build storyboards to communicate the concept to stakeholders and collaborators  
  • Coordinate interdepartmentally within Tesla to plan video shoots 
  • Create shotlists, shoot schedules, and call sheets 
  • Be effective with time and budget. Be capable of tackling a single day or multi-week production, locally as well as out of state and internationally 
  • Lead production on shoot days and keep the team on schedule and manage feedback rounds with stakeholders and see each video through to its launch 
  • Get hands on with video equipment to support team members during production 
  • Basic DIT: offload and deliver footage to post-production team and provide editors with clear direction for video deliverables 
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years experience in a Producer or Production Manager position at an agency, production company, or in-house marketing communications or creative services department 
  • Highly creative, organized with attention to detail, able to carry multiple projects in parallel, a great communicator and has the ability to turn challenges into opportunities for growth 
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams with both direct and indirect reporting relationships 
  • Hands-on experience with operating a camera or other video/audio equipment is preferred
