The Chief of the Division of Geriatric Medicine in the UF Department of Medicine will provide strategic vision and leadership for the clinical, educational, research, and professional development initiatives of this nationally recognized program. The successful candidate will:
- Be an outstanding clinician with a track record of strong leadership and program building.
- Have a record of accomplishment in extramurally-funded basic, translational, epidemiological, or clinical research.
- Serve as a key leader in Aging, Geriatrics, and Gerontology at the University, interfacing with other UF Health clinical and research programs in interdisciplinary collaborations. These include the UF Institute on Aging (IOA), UF Claude D. Pepper Older Americans Independence Center (OAIC), Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center (GRECC), and Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. For qualified clinician-scientists, there is an opportunity to take a leadership role in organizing and growing aging research through the UF Institute on Aging to achieve even greater impact in the decade ahead.
