Behavioral Health Counselor I

- Do you have a heart to come alongside others who are trying to improve their lives?
- As the Behavioral Health Counselor I , you will counsel guests individually and in group sessions to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life and making changes that will assist in their recovery.
- Conduct individual counseling for mental health issues, addiction, Christian direction, and domestic violence issues.
- Advocate for and support program participants through intakes, referrals, safety planning, educational classes, individual advocacy-based counseling, and groups.
- Be willing to be trained, and use Lifespan Integration, evidence based practice therapy models for trauma resolution, and/or other promising models.
- Participate in the Grace-based philosophy of ministry and the self-evaluation process.
- Teach classes to assist guests to understand cycles of abuse, addiction, and other classes as assigned by the supervisor.
- LMHC or related license is required
