What You'll Do

We are looking for a HMI Platform Programmer passionate about bridging the gap between world-class, industry-leading game engine technologies and automotive platforms. You’ll work with a variety of HMI hardware and operating systems to design and implement platform APIs, guide cross-platform API development, and create robust platform toolchains to further the future of in-car experiences. In this role, you will
  • Develop, deploy, debug, and maintain features of Unreal Engine and other technologies that help deliver great real-time HMI experiences
  • Collaborate with the Engine team to implement HMI-specific features and improvements
  • Develop bleeding-edge products that raise the bar and leverage the broad Epic Games and FN ecosystems
  • Work with the best OEMs in the industry to fuel innovation utilizing the power of Unreal Engine
What we're looking for
  • Excellent C++ skills and software engineering principles
  • Knowledge and experience working with Android and/or Linux, in depth experience with both is a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, especially low-level operating system problems
  • Expertise in optimizing/maintaining large software systems across multiple platforms, direct experience with Unreal Engine across multiple platforms is a plus
  • You’re user-focused, passionate, solutions-focused, and innovative. These traits equal success at Epic and influence everything we do
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate fluently in English
