    Pastry cooks are essential to delivering a high-quality, consistent guest dining experience. Working with guidance from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, Line Cooks execute food preparation and presentation methods to create Instagram-worthy food presentations. The primary role of a Pastry Cook is to practice all safe food-handling methods, accurately and consistently prepare baked goods, adapt to guest requests for modifications, and work quickly and efficiently to meet service time expectations.What you’ll be doing…

    Maintain sanitary conditions throughout work area.

    Prepare pastries of consistently high quality by following recipes while upholding portion and production standards for all banquets and desserts.

    Set up baked goods and desserts for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for restaurant and banquets based on anticipated need.

    Assist in food control standards to reduce waste.

    Prepare the line for each shift by determining necessary preparation based on the menu.

    Follow all food safety standards by date marking, rotating products, and ensuring proper temperature and time holdings.

    Reads banquet functions as posted on banquet sheets.

    Rechecks banquet sheets every day with Chef on duty.

    Cleans up work area, tables, shelves, and refrigerators.

    Properly store all food products during and after use.

    Checks with Supervisor regarding condition of station at the end of shift.

    Contribute as a team member by following attendance policies and supporting team members while working.

    Performs all other related duties as assigned.Requirements…Experience & Education:

    Two or more years line/prep cook experience preferred

    You must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace

    Great communication skills, both verbal and written

    Able to stand for hours at a time

    You understand this job requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity
