Position Overview:
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief of Staff is a key member of the executive team, driving strategic planning, managing projects, and leading process improvements. This role calls for a dynamic generalist who excels in problem-solving and achieving results. You’ll take charge of strategic initiatives, monitor progress, and address challenges, ensuring smooth operations and impactful outcomes. As you coordinate cross-functional projects and foster team collaboration, you'll help shape the company’s strategic direction and enhance operational efficiency. This is an exciting and unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a dynamic, fast-paced organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Vision and Strategy: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to define and implement the organization's vision and strategy.
  • Accountability: Ensure accountability for key action items and strategic initiatives, monitoring progress and addressing potential roadblocks.
  • Project Coordination:Oversee and coordinate cross-functional projects and initiatives, fostering alignment and collaboration among teams.
  • Metrics Tracking: Develop and track metrics to assess the success of initiatives.
  • Operational Efficiency: Enhance operational efficiency by streamlining processes, introducing new tools, and refining existing workflows.
  • Communication Hub: Serve as the central point of contact for the CEO and leadership team, managing communications and updates on key projects and priorities.
  • Leadership Meeting Facilitation: Coordinate and manage leadership meetings, including setting agendas, following up on action items, and ensuring updates and communications are cascaded across the organization.
  • Strategic Financial Management: Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial planning and reporting to drive financial strategy and decision-making, ensuring optimal financial health and performance.
  • Executive Support: Provide high-level support to the CEO on ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and priorities.

Requirements:

  • Over 4 years of experience in an operational or project management role within private equity, consulting, or similar fast-paced, dynamic industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decision-making, including analyzing financial metrics to drive strategic financial planning and performance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the capability to build and maintain relationships at all organizational levels.
  • The ability to think critically and strategically while delivering on the details.
  • Proven success in managing multiple projects and competing priorities while driving results and achieving key objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field; an MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
  • Located in Central Time Zone, United States (Austin, TX preferred)
