Overview

Under general supervision of Catering Manager and Food & Beverage Director, help perform all in-house catered events, including any and all various service styles, such as boxed lunch, buffet, plated and tour catering & hospitality for staff, entertainment and administrative clients. 

 

This role will pay an hourly rate between $15.50 to $18 plus tips

 

For PT roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.

 

EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline

Responsibilities

  • Setting up dining and buffet areas as per the Catering Manager's instructions.
  • Ensuring all tableware and chafing dishes are properly cleaned and sanitized before each catering event.
  • Appropriately storing clean chafing dishes, tableware, platters, and equipment after each catering event.
  • Answering guests' catering-related questions during events and addressing all complaints.
  • Serve food and beverages to guests
  • Monitor food levels and restock as needed
  • Clean and reset tables in between guests
  • Related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Flexible - you are able to think on your feet, can fluidly and easily adapt to last minute changes.
  • Detailed - you are able to make sure the details are correct both on paper and in practice.
  • Cool & Calm - you are able to thrive in high pressure and fast paced environments.
  • High School graduation and three years of experience in catering or related food service area, Associate’s degree and one year, or combination of experience and higher education equal to three years. 
  • Strong supervisory and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral format. 
  • Knowledge of food preparation, presentation and customer service  
  • Basic computer skills as required by department.
