As the Actuarial Director for Property Casualty, you'll lead teams to deliver high-quality actuarial services for COUNTRY. You will partner with Product Management, Market Managers, and other business colleagues to execute COUNTRY strategies for Personal, Commercial, and Agribusiness products. And you will develop people and methodologies to advance actuarial capabilities.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is based out of our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL.

How does the Actuarial Director for Property Casualty make an impact?
  • Directs development of rate recommendations for property/casualty products to achieve operational and combined ratio goals.
  • Participates in developing short- and long-term business and strategic plan objectives for the business unit. Coordinates and leads development of premium, loss, and expense projections for the business planning process.
  • Directs and provides leadership to the actuarial department. Develops staff's ability to produce high quality actuarial work product.
  • Manages the implementation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and activities in assigned areas. Maintains current contact information for all employees in applicable areas and communicates with non-recovery employees during a disaster.
  • Foster a positive environment where all team members are motivated and committed to contribute their best work.
  • Create a safe environment where team members are supported to make decisions and take action to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Take personal responsibility for making tough decisions, meeting commitments, and adapting to ensure expected results are achieved.
