The Merchandising / Product Development Manager - creates the seasonal merchandising  strategy and plans with the approval of the President and Creative Director. Creates synergy and a lifestyle strategy across all product categories while maintaining the brand vision. Develops a balanced product assortment with a strong style / price/ image and value relationship in order to achieve consistency within all classifications of business encompassing Women’s clothing, lingerie, sleep , swim and Men's sleep/ loungewear. Executes a strategic merchandising plan each season, maximizing margin expectations, business opportunities, volume and market share. It is expected that the merchandising plans will address our Department Store, Specialty store, Online Retailers, International markets and our own Ecommerce growth goals.  This involves working closely with the sales and design teams to forecast trends, and stock levels and to monitor selling performance acroos all sales channels.  Will serve as the primary conduit between Design, Sales, Retail/E-Commerce, the Global Regional accounts and the creative services team. Will serve as the brand product expert at all internal and external customer meetings as necessary.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:Define seasonal core assortments and key launches, collaborate with support teams to ensure 360 visibility across retail, e-commerce & wholesale buys through campaigns, socials, trainings and visual merchandising.
Liaise between Design, Production and Sales to deliver strong directional product
Identify and Communicate business opportunities clearly and in a timely manner to Design and management
Work with Design to edit collections in proto stage and finalize at show sample stage
Merchandise price points strategically by class to meet margin targets and align within all divisions appropriately
Provide Sales with the proper tools with which to sell the line each season, ie. ownership, sensibility, product features and design concept
Work with Licensing Partners and Reps or agents, to explore business opportunities in alignment with brand strategy
Review concept and development with heads of Sales departments seasonally. Communicate product and execute within design business opportunities
Verify the merchandising plan fits needs and expectations of the business goals ahead from competitors and build best in class products  to be the leader in the field  
Work closely with the President, the CFO, the Creative Director, VP of Production and Sourcing, to discuss key product strategy opportunities and execute against them
Develop product strategy plans based on LY sales information, missed opportunities, account requests and market trends 
Conduct weekly review selling recaps to develop a stronger understanding of what is working / not working and communicate effectively with design team
Work closely with sales account executives to learn key account’s businesses and strategize for growth to exceed mutual organizational sales goals
Partner with Ecommerce teams to maximize brand/category presentation and sales and calendar of merchandising new product uploads and annual selling events
Partner with our international teams to hear specific market feedback to satisfy our customer’s needs abroad
Consistently work with the creative team to establish clearly defined marketing initiatives that will continue to drive the brand image while also driving sales and excitement for our global customer
Determine wholesale/retail prices for all product categories based on competitive landscape 
Competitive shop the market to gather key insights for Inovation , pricing, product, and fabric/trim information. Develop Product matrix by category Work closely with the design, production and fabric development teams to unify direction in order to maximize our business opportunities by category
Edit sku count to maximize volume and clear brand messaging
Posess an enthusiasm and commitment to organic, natural, and non toxic materials.
